The empty directories have been truncated and should have files within them, but don't, which causes problems later on as attempts to reference those files are made. Does anyone know of any tools or easy ways to get around this delete error without having to manually find the problem files and move/rename them windows. I've seen many references to using GNU tar 1.14 or later to resolve the tar extraction problem with long file names and getting created.
